Joshua B. Hyman, M.D. is a double board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon (American Board of Plastic Surgery and American Board of Surgery) with expertise in a broad range of cosmetic and reconstructive procedures. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at Weill Medical College of Cornell University, and he teaches residents how to perform plastic surgery through residency programs at New York Presbyterian and Northwell Health.
Dr. Hyman has full surgical privileges at Lenox Hill Hospital and New York Presbyterian Hospitals.
After graduating from Jefferson Medical College Summa Cum Laude, Dr. Hyman completed his general surgery residency at the University of California at San Diego and his plastic surgery fellowship at New York Presbyterian. Following his extensive surgical training, Dr. Hyman started a private practice in Manhattan specializing in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery.
Dr. Hyman has performed thousands of cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries of the breast in survivors of breast cancer. In addition, he has extensive experience helping patients after massive weight loss.
Prior to his medical career, Dr. Hyman was a professional mogul and extreme skier who won numerous awards and has been featured on the covers of major ski magazines. Dr. Hyman enjoys skiing with his family, playing guitar and spending time with his dog, Charlie.
